That goes a USB port. The advantages are that it is small and works very well for video. I tried three different pieces and the quality of the video input will determine what you get with it. Cons include the production quality of text on the screen and use a USB port for power. If you use large fonts and icons, a low-resolution (800x600) and a video card with quality you can read the text well enough to surf the web (but you have to use the scroll bars at low resolution) - I'm using an earlier version of 36 "Toshiba (pre-HD) I'm generally happy with my purchase. I would recommend for the price. 29 of 30 people found the following review helpful. must reconfigure each power cycle! By J. Chris Campbell Unity came to PAL, but when I switched to NTSC, it was easy to size and position of the horizontal and vertical directions can be configured easily to set, but the device forgets my settings every time I him off. Since I operate the device from the USB port instead of using a separate power supply, this happens every time I turn off the computer. Since the device is sitting behind my computer and TV, I think it easier to live with only the opportunity to see the top 60% of my bottom panel (GNOME) or taskbar (Windows) then reconfigure the device every time I turn on my computer. My TV is about 37 inches and not high definition (free on the container when my neighbors have an HD flat-:-)). I think the wording is too vague to be read without great font for the OS if I use 1024x768, so I keep my computer set to 800x600. A word of advice, do not get on your computer to automatically adjust the monitor size, because it will automatically create a 1152x864 resolution that is not supported this resolution, flickering my TV and there is no double image, with more readable text. Depending on your operating system, this may or may not be prevented, and is difficult to replace because the screen is unreadable when you try to save the settings (especially if you're not the keyboard commands for your operating system knowledge) to change. 35 of 38 people found the following review helpful. Great Little Gadget Meredith N. This converter works well. I had a little trouble connecting with my laptop. It took about one hour to figure it out. The problem was in my eyes is not the converters. But when I discovered the problem it worked like a charm. This product comes with instructions and information, but not very detailed. The problem I had was a photo showing on my TV to get. I set the panels down to the U.S. NTSC. I put the VGA connection on my laptop and connect the other end to the VGA port on the device and S-video output on the vertical TV lines of color appeared on my screen (like when a TV is turned off and tested) could press the menu button on the device and made me get menu options. So I knew I had something good. (((SET your laptop screen))) that ended with the set menu on my laptop. Click Start, click Control Panel, Display. Click the Settings tab. Then click on Advanced Then you have to click the tab that shows what type of displays used. (Not in general, adapter, monitor, troubleshoot, color management) is the data that I did not list here ... LOL ... Next, you want to double. You can have a drop-down menu or option. He found that, click OK. Hope this helps, because it took me an hour to finally find out ... LOL ... GOOD LUCK! See all 102 reviews ....
