Cheap and convenient for some applications. VHS quality. Bought this as a gift to be given for temporary use in a mobile home. After pre-testing, I am satisfied with the result. Elsewhere on the interweb resolution was incorrectly listed as 940 x 240, the 940 combined value of three LCD monitors. After couting pixels I am convinced that the resolution is very close to 320x240, which corresponds to a loss in quality of VHS video tape. The fan is noisier than newer full-size projectors. BENEFITS: * Bulbs are cheap, can MR-16 12V 35W halogen lamps are available for less than ten U.S. dollars:) Adujstments * Brightness, contrast, hue and color is sufficient. * Lightweight, durable, compact and attactively formed. 150 * The price was reasonable. * Will good work from the 12 volt power source directly without using the included AC adapter, draws 5 amps at 12V. * Sufficient light for projecting a small image of the day, and a large picture of the night. * Includes support for one pointing up to see the ceiling and an RCA patch cables * speaker volume is very high. Cons: * low resolution (320x240) is acceptable only for low-tech. * A new, better, cheaper projectors should be available soon. * Tickets are stero audio, but the output of the speaker is mono. * No need to adjust the keystone, the angle of projection must be carefully configured. * Fan is cheap and noisy, but it seems a long way to replace it with two quiet fans. One in the original location, the second could go behind the grill on the opposite side. There are some interesting versions of the replacement LED lamp of this projector on e-bay very Litle that produce heat. I'll try one and then turn off the fan of silence and a great reduction in power consumption. Family Fun TOY We have this projector for Christmas and the kids are having fun with it. The provisions in the basement and hung a sheet on a screen. Could there be a "texture", apparently out of the bulb I read somewhere there must be a way around this (different bulb?). The picture is not perfect, but after messing around for a while, we found that the biggest improvement came from positioning themselves farther away from the screen (which is why it is in the basement, our living room is small). I think our biggest complaint is the color control. Some movies seem to get better color results than others. I would not recommend it for films that have a lot of dark scenes. We also have it hooked up to surround sound. I think with "Big Sound" with the big picture is enough atmosphere to make it worthwhile. If you are looking for cinema picture quality, skip this toy. If you think it is about 1 / 10 the price of a "real" projector and will just have fun, go for it. Children can not wait to get a movie that stretches beyond this summer. Overall, we think it was worth the money. Misleading I bought this projector based on the prices, consumer reviews and description of the product in the description, the manufacturer claims that this projector will work with computers. This statement is also on the side of the box. It is simply not true. In the first place the projector only comes with RCA video connections, with both type and S-Video adapter and a VGA adapter just to get a video card to recognize. It will not VGA to convert video without any converter. This is where I stopped trying to run the item with my laptop, it's just not worth the cost. Other reviews have highlighted the poor quality of the projected image. I agree with your opinion. In a completely dark room, the image may be acceptable, but never good. I would rate this unit "0" stars if possible, however, I give you a "1", because I need. The only features that justify the only star is the robustness of the device, easy to install to a television and surprisingly good sound, if you buy it for those reasons, go through the torpedo and want to find something else.
